“Lights Along the River” Drive-thru New This Year!

The City of Bainbridge and the Convention & Visitors Bureau are super excited about our brand new Christmas event, “Lights Along the River!” Make plans to bring your family to the Earle May Boat Basin in the evenings between December 1st and 31st, and drive through our beautiful Christmas lights along Hatcher Road. You will even be able to tune your car radio to WMGR-AM 930 or 99.3 FM to hear a variety of Christmas music. WTXL-TV 27 is bringing their ROAD-TRIP to BAINBRIDGE!

The WTXL-TV 27 ROAD TRIP is coming to Bainbridge! Tune in EVERY NIGHT this week at 6pm to see interviews with people from our town!  TONIGHT, Monday, will feature City Councilwoman ROSLYN PALMER speaking about the history of Bainbridge and giving a short tour of the History Museum located Downtown!   Tuesday night you will want to tune in and catch the story about Mainstreets of Bainbridge featuring Amanda Glover and Jessica Allen.  Wednesday’s story is about Champion Bass Angler and local gal, Pam Martin-Wells.  On Thursday night Roslyn Palmer will be back giving us a tour of Oak City Cemetery.  And Friday is a SPECIAL DAY…WTXL will be broadcasting LIVE from Bainbridge and we want you to be part of the fun!  Start your day with us from 5am to 7:30am at BETTY’S on Dothan Road.  The band, CALIBER, will be playing to get our day off to a great start.  Can’t make it that early?  Then stop by ISAAC’S on Broad Street from 12pm to 1pm for another live news show.  AND…make sure you’re downtown in WILLIS PARK beginning at 5pm for the evening news.  Stick around and enjoy a Classic Car Show and a Block Party featuring DRY, WEATHER, SUN!  If you have any questions, give Julie Harris a call at 229-515-0022!

Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday!

The Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt WILL take place tomorrow, RAIN or SHINE, at the Earle May Boat Basin beginning at 11am. In case of rain, the Easter Bunny will be passing out treats on the stage of the Performing Arts Building, and you will have the opportunity to take pictures with him!

Bainbridge-Decatur County Marshal’s Office is requesting all property owners/residents to be in compliance with City Of Bainbridge Code Sec. 14-2 subsection (a) House Numbering; Residential and Commercial Buildings. 911 house numbers are very important to emergency personal. If your property is not properly marked, it makes it very difficult for emergency personal to locate the property during an emergency.

John Mills Joins Marshal’s Office

The City of Bainbridge is pleased to announce the appointment of John Mills as Deputy Marshal with the Bainbridge-Decatur County Marshal’s Office. John is a native of Homestead, Florida where he worked for ten years with the Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority. After relocating to Bainbridge, John began working with Bainbridge Public Safety in 2006 where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. He is married to Jennifer and they have two daughters, Madison and Kendall. John stated, “I worked under Chief Marshal Keith Pollock when I began at Public Safety, and I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to work with him again in the area of code enforcement.

Nature Trail at Boat Basin has Re-Opened
